The Mayflower Compact: 391 Years Ago Today

When the Pilgrim Dissenters sent by the Virginia Company to plant a colony in the “northern parts of Virginia” were blown off-course by a storm into the coast of Massachusetts. No longer under the jurisdiction of the Virginia Company or its governor, they realized that they needed a new governing document. So before they landed, the men of the colony drafted what we know today as the Mayflower Compact. The date of the Compact’s signing states that it took place on November 11, 1620. This is because it was signed under the Old Style Julian calendar. England did not adopt the Gregorian calendar until 1752. The Gregorian date would be November 21, 1620: In the name of God, Amen. We whose names are under-written, the loyal subjects of our dread sovereign Lord, King James, by the grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, etc. Having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith, and honor of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia, do by these presents solemnly and mutually, in the presence of God, and one of another, covenant and combine our selves together into a civil body politic, for our better ordering and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions and offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the Colony, unto which we promise all due submission and obedience. In witness whereof we have hereunder subscribed our names at Cape Cod, the eleventh of November [New Style, November 21], in the year of the reign of our sovereign lord, King James, of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth. Anno Dom. 1620. Quite a politically incorrect document, wouldn’t you say? How far we have fallen.

MA IUBESTI?
Isus i-a zis lui Petru chiar după Înviere :
”Tu Mă iubeşti azi Simon cu-a inimii plăcere ?
Mai mult decât aceştia c-o dragoste curată ?”
”Eu Te iubesc Isuse mai mult ca altădată!”

Privind în zarea lină cum zboară porumbeii
Isus i-a zis lui Petru : ”Tu paşte-Mi mieluşeii!
Iubirea doar prin fapte vorbeşte tuturora
Şi-aduce-n locul nopţii din ceruri aurora.”

Isus a doua oară întreabă de iubire
Iar Petru întâlneşte a Domnului privire.
Ca şi la judecată el L-a privit pe Domnul.
Atunci plângea în noapte dispreţuindu-şi somnul.

Acum plin de lumină aceeaşi întrebare
Isus din nou o pune : ”Mă iubeşti, Simon, oare ?”
Examenul iubirii conţine teste grele.
”Da, Doamne!”, I-a zis Petru. „”Paşte-Mi oiţele Mele!”
Şi-aduce-aminte Petru de-o răcoroasă noapte
Când se-ncălzea pe sine la foc …Dar nişte şoapte
Atunci spre el se-ndreaptă şi-l fac să mai rămână :
”N-ai fost tu în grădină cu sabia în mână ?!…”

Tabloul iar se schimbă. Din nou Isus vorbeşte.
Pe ţărm focul mai arde gătind prânzul de peşte.
”Mă iubeşti Simon Petru ?”, i-a zis a treia oară.
Răspunsul vine grabnic dar e ca o povară.

”Da, Doamne, Tu ştii totul! Ştii cum mi-a fost căderea
Dar azi prin îndurare îmi înnoieşti puterea.
Iubirea-mi pentru Tine e sinceră şi mare
Dar lumea ca s-o birui eu nu mă simt în stare.”

”Paşte oile Mele !, îi zise Salvatorul.
Iubirea Mea în toate să-ţi fie de-azi izvorul.
Ai fost odată tânăr dar viaţa ta e una.
La capătu-alergării te-aşteaptă-n cer cununa!”

Isus, prin Duhul slavei, te-ntreabă şi pe tine
Îl mai iubeşti tu oare înflăcărat creştine ?
Vestindu-L cu putere, iubindu-ţi şi duşmanii
Dar nu fără de roade lăsând să-ţi treacă anii ?!

Eşti gata pentru Domnul să faci orice lucrare
Să ari prin fapte bune pământul cel mai tare ?
Să te apleci spre alţii ce trec prin suferinţă,
Să verşi în rugăciune doar lacrimi de căinţă ?

Poţi să alini bolnavul şi văduva sărmană,
Ca şi Samariteanul să pui ulei pe rană ?
Să porţi prin lume jugul iubirii jertfitoare ?!…
Isus îţi mai aşteaptă răspunsul la-ntrebare.

Mă iubeşti tu, oare, Simon ? Mă iubeşti Maria ?
Mai cereţi voi în rugă să vină-Mpărăţia ?
Răspunsul e trăirea prin Duhul ce dă viaţă
Cum soarele răsare în orice dimineaţă.

SFATURI MEDICALE ~APARARE IMPOTRIVA EFECTELOR RADIATIILOR

APARARE IMPOTRIVA EFECTELOR RADIATIILOR

Dragii mei, vreau sa va impartasesc o metoda de aparare impotriva efectelor radiatiilor, metoda pe care o stiu de la Valeriu Popa si pe care am aplicat-o cand a fost evenimentul de la Cernobil: ungerea pielii cu tinctura de iod. Tinctura se gaseste la farmacii, si e suficient sa se inmoaie o bucatica de vata in ea si sa se tamponeze pielea in 3 locuri, pe umarul stang/in capul pieptului/in dreptul ficatului. A doua zi se tamponeaza cealalta diagonala, umar drept/capul pieptului/splina. Se continua tratamentul atata timp cat pielea absoarbe iodul. Avantajul acestei metode (fata de pastilele cu iod) este ca se va absorbi atata iod cat are corpul nevoie, nimic mai mult. In momentul in care urmele galbene lasate pe piele nu mai dispar (2 zile la rand), e semn ca nu mai e nevoie de tratament.
