PASSOVER – PRAISE JESUS!

Christianity can be condensed into four words: Admit, Submit, Commit and Transmit. -Samuel Wilberforce

 PASSOVER – PRAISE JESUS!

PASSOVER PICTURES BEING FREED FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN!
Exodus 12:5-7, 13-14 – Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year:  you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:  and you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month:  and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. – – – And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are:  and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.  And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
WHEN CHRIST SHED HIS BLOOD, IT MEANS HE GAVE HIS LIFE!
Genesis 9:4  But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
Leviticus 17:11 – For the life of the flesh is in the blood:  and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:  for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.
John 10:17-18 – Therefore does My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again.  No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.  I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of My Father.
CHRIST IS THE PASSOVER LAMB WHO FREES US FROM THE GUILT OF SIN!
John 1:29, 36 – The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world. – – – And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 – Purge out therefore the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened.  For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:  therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Hebrews 9:12-14, 22 – Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh:  how much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? – – – And almost all things are by the Law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  [Note:  Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is the rejection of His testimony that Jesus is the Son of God, and therefore, it cannot be forgiven – it is the rejection of Christ!]
PASSOVER – A DAY FOR US TO REMEMBER HIS SACRIFICE!
A DAY TO CELEBRATE WITH PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING!

IN HONOR OF MOTHERS EVERYWHERE Jesus secured His mothers future on the cross. He deeply loved Mary.

Christianity can be condensed into four words: Admit, Submit, Commit and Transmit. -Samuel Wilberforce

In Honor of Mothers Everywhere.

Jesus secured His mothers future on the cross. He deeply loved Mary. Mothers are beyond measure.

26When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
27Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own household.John 19:26-27

Beloved Brothers And Sisters ~

As I was just rushing to pick up Julian from school, I began to feel the hunger in the people as I passed by person after person in their cars and in the streets. And as I looked at each person passing by, God began to form my thoughts and I could feel His Anger rising as He let me realize that their stomachs would most likely be fed by the hands of the enemy rather than the hands of the servants of God… God was revealing to me the deprivation and emptiness in people, and in that moment I began to pray,“Jesus… feed Your People. Show us how to be the answer, how to HAVE the Answer; how to SPREAD Truth…” And in the midst of all the hustling to pick up Julian on time from school, God was giving me a disturbing vision of our church (the Church in general) – Outwardly welcoming yet inwardly barred shut…

I began to feel the weight of God’s Problem with the Church settle in the pit of my stomach as I realized that God’s Church has become completely IRRELEVANT. In fact, it seems like a breathing hypocrisy… I was smacked in the face with the disturbing REALITY as I ran from my parked car the rest of the way to school to meet Julian on time… Churches outwardly welcoming yet inwardly barred shut! In me Jesus was crying, “I AM ALIVE!” yet the hearts of His People are barred shut, the window to their souls locked and church parking lots empty. Looks pretty dead to me! I felt sick as I realized that God is filling the Church with His SPIRIT and asking us to go feed His People with TRUTH, LIFE, LOVE, WISDOM, DIRECTION and POWER, yet the doors are barred shut and the windows are dark and closed…

So when the woman ready to commit suicide wants to reach her hand out one last time, who will be the one to fill it? The enemy seems to have a better grasp on relevant ministry than we do. I think something in the way we view CHURCH needs to shift DRASTICALLY and IMMEDIATELY… If we have the HIGHEST, MOST HOLY, OMINISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, SPIRIT as our GUIDE, why aren’t we offering a Spiritual hand of guidance to the hungry and the needy? Are we asleep? Are we numb? Are we hypocrites? Why put a WELCOME sign on the door to the Church (so to speak) if we are going to bar up the entire porch so that the dirty hands of the homeless won’t be able to touch it and mess up the new paint job?

Now with Julian in tow and after sharing this with him, he looked at me and said, “What if we could feed the spirit of each person by whispering the name of Jesus as we walk by each one. Maybe their spirits would grab His Name and begin to long for Him…” For the rest of the walk back to the car Julian said, “JESUS” as he passed each person. I laughed as I realized my little guy is just as OBSESSED with spreading the LOVE of God as I am! Truly a moment when God was speaking wisdom through and out of the mouth of babes!

God, help us. Wake us. Show us the way to invade the spiritual powers of this culture. Let the Church become RELEVANT. Let the Living God truly explode with LIFE out of the servants who have chosen to be the hands and feet of Jesus… Let us have RELEVANT FAITH so that those who are hungry will be able to GRAB onto it…

God, we pray that Your FAITHFULNESS will fill us with FAITH to step toward the desires you have for our lives. Give us a CAUSE to fight for YOUR NAME. Let the history of Your VICTORY in our lives be on our lips daily as we face the giants. Let YOUR NAME be magnified in us ,as Your Servants choose to fulfill the vows and covenants we made with YOU… to KNOW YOU… In Your Holy and Precious Name Jesus we pray… Amein… (shared of my journal)10440802_696494227073693_7724385406213002777_n13001092_1143066769048122_7200995702218758525_n

SOME WORDS ABOUT US

WHAT DO YOU THINK? – We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
ARE YOU READY FOR WAR?
  • When my feet hit the ground I like to let the enemy to know- I AM READY! I plead the blood of Jesus over me. I put my armor on and I VISUALIZE the BATTLE I am walking into! I am battling for the men and women without HOPE. I am battling for the divorced couples. I am battling for those in sex-slavery! I will not be SILENT, when GOD created me to SPEAK OUT! I want to make sure HIS LIGHT is shining through me. We are the SALT and LIGHT of the earth- ALSO know as CITY, COUNTRY and WORLD CHANGER! Let’s go to war for souls! AMEN!

IT. IS. WORTH IT!-UCB Word 4U 2Day 08 Mar 2014

IT. IS. WORTH IT.

‘If I can just touch [Him], I will be healed.’ Mark 5:25
Mark’s gospel records the story of a Jewish woman who, for twelve solid years, had been suffering from what could be referred to as ‘lady problems’. Gross? Well, for this lady, it had much more of an impact on her life than just being gross. Try ‘absolutely wrecked’. She was totally broke, having spent all her money on (useless) medical bills. Her husband couldn’t go near her. Babies were totally off the cards. Everything she touched was considered ‘spiritually unclean’. The law meant that she couldn’t even go to worship God in the Temple. She was completely worn-out, and not even allowed to go to God’s house to be refreshed. At the end of her tether, she took the matter into her own hands. She went out into a crowd that was disgusted by (and probably afraid of) her, and she grabbed hold of God’s coat-tails. And it worked. Her earnest faith did something amazing – it drew power from Jesus to her, and she was healed. She was freed from all of the laws that made her life difficult. She could enter God’s temple, stand tall in her community again, not look in the mirror and see ‘unclean’. And all of this, because she just grabbed Jesus’ coat as he passed. What could you do, if He was stood in front of you now?… WHAT NOW? Set aside 20 mins today. First ask God to meet you. Second, read Mark 5:21- 34 a few times until you know it well. Close your eyes. Imagine you’re in the story. Who are you? What is Jesus like? What are the sights, sounds and smells? End by praying again, and ‘grab his coat’ with the troubles of your heart.

THE DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST

THE DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST

This is an article we first posted, on the first day that we began this blog’s journey, and we have reposted it again around Christmas time, every year. So here it is again:
Once when Jesus was traveling with His disciples He asked them ‘Who do people say that I am?’ Wherever Jesus went, large crowds of people followed Him and they witnessed the miracles He performed and they observed the words He spoke in His sermons. Many of the people probably wondered who Jesus was.  But then in Luke 9:18-20 Jesus asks Peter, His disciple, ‘Who do you say that I am?’ and Peter answers ‘God’s Messiah’! Peter spoke with lots of conviction, yet his faith had a long way to go, there would even come a point in his life later where he would deny that he even knew Jesus. Peter and the disciples would become men of faith after they saw the resurrected Christ and it was then they could profess that Jesus was truly the Son of God.

In every age since the first followers of Jesus made their profession of faith in him, men and women of faith have had to come to terms with who Jesus is and what he means for them.As we go into the Christmas season, celebrating the birth of the Messiah, take a little time to reflect on these passages that the Scriptures heralds about the deity of the Messiah. Who is Jesus Christ to you?

ISAIAH 9:6-7 AS I UNDERSTAND IT

ISAIAH 9:6-7 AS I UNDERSTAND IT

Christ’s First Advent
“For unto us (Israel – Jn. 1:11)  THE Child (not just any child, but THE Child – Lk. 2:21, 27, 43; Rev. 12:13)
is born, unto us THE Son is given (again, not just “a” Son, but THE Son
the phrase “the Son of God” appears 44 times in the Bible!  and, Jn. 3:16 -
clearly speaks of Christ’s First Coming – Mt. 1:1-2:23; Lk. 1:26-2:38; Jn. 1:9-14):
Christ’s Second Advent
and the government shall be upon His shoulder (Christ’s Millennial Kingdom - Rev. 20:1-7):and His name shall be called:

Wonderful Counselor (the word “wonderful” is an adjective, and therefore,
it describes the excellence of Christ’s counsel to mankind - Rev. 3:18), The Mighty God (Jesus, as the Son of God, is both Creator and God -
Gen. 1:1; Ps. 45:6; Heb. 1:1-2, 8; Jn. 1:1-3, 14; 10:30; 20:28; Mt. 1:23;
Col. 1:16; 2:9; 2 Cor. 4:4; Isa. 7:14; etc.), The everlasting Father (Jesus said in Jn. 10:30,I and My Father are one.”
And in Jn. 14:9, He said, “He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father.”), The Prince of Peace (first, Jesus is, at this time, a prince; He will be
anointed as the KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS when
He rules and reigns in His kingdom - 1 Tim. 6:14-15; Rev. 19:16.” and
second, Jesus came to bring peace to those who received Him as their
Lord and Savior.  There are 109 verses in the New Testament that speak
of peace, and the Gospel itself is called the
“Gospel of Peace” in Rom. 10:15.).
Of the increase of His government
and peace there shall be no
end, upon the throne of David,
and upon His kingdom, to order it,
and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts WILL PERFORM THIS!”

CHRIST’S BIRTH, AS I UNDERSTAND IT

A virgin named Mary, who was engaged to a man named Joseph, was

pregnant with the Son of God, which was the result of the miraculous
working of the Holy Spirit.  When Joseph, to whom she was engaged, found
out, he, being a just man and not wanting her to be stoned to death for
having committed adultery, was trying to think of how he could quietly
break off their engagement.

But while he was thinking about it, he fell asleep, and the Angel of the
Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, of the family of
David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife.  The Child she is
carrying is a miracle, conceived of the Holy Spirit.  And she shall
bring forth a Son, and you are to call His name JESUS: for He shall save
His people from their sins.”

Now all this was done that Isaiah 7:14 might be fulfilled, which was
spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Behold, a virgin shall
be with Child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call
His title, “Emmanuel,” which means “God with us.”  [Note:  Mary's
pregnancy, like all pregnancies, involved a child, not a fetus, not an
embryo, not even a fertilized egg; she was with Child!]

When Joseph woke up, he did as the Angel of the Lord had told him,
and he married Mary.  And Mary remained a virgin until she gave birth
to her firstborn Son: and Joseph called His name

 “JESUS” (Mt. 1:18-25).

And there were, in the same country, shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.  And suddenly, the Angel of the
Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord surrounded them: and
they were so afraid.  And the Angel said unto them, “Fear not: for,
behold, I bring great news, which shall be a blessing to all people.
Just as the Word of God promised, your Messiah, Christ the Lord, has
been born today in Bethlehem, the City of David.”

And this is
how you will recognize Him; you will find the Baby wrapped in a
receiving blanket, lying in an animal’s feed trough.  And suddenly,
there was with the Angel, a multitude of the heavenly host praising God,
and saying, “Glory to God in heaven, and on earth, peace and good will
to all men.”  And it came to pass, after the angels were gone, the
shepherds said one to another,
“Let us go and see this thing which has
happened, this thing which the Lord hath made known unto us.”

And
when they arrived in Bethlehem, they found Mary and Joseph, and
the Baby was lying in an animal’s food trough, just as they had been
told. And when they had seen Him, they told everyone what they had been
told concerning the Child, Israel’s Messiah
(Lk. 2:8-17).

GOD’S GIFT: EVIDENCE OF THE LOVE OF THE GIVER

577341_425592430900630_2047894889_n

GOD’S GIFT: EVIDENCE OF THE LOVE OF THE GIVER

The Greek χάρις (charis), is translated as “grace” over one hundred fifty times in the New Testament. However, it is translated seven times as “favor,” as well, and all of them occur in the writings of Luke (Lk. 1:28, 30; 2:52; Acts 2:47; 7:10, 46; 25:3).  Oddly enough, the writings of Luke also have χάρις translated as “grace” eleven times (Lk. 2:40; 4:22; Acts 1:23; 13:43; 14:3, 26; 15:11, 40; 18:27; 20:24, 32).  Even if the words are interchangeable, one would think the two would show up in other New Testament books.  But, that is not the case.  And after looking at the context where the word “favor” is used, I hate to admit it, but I still have no clue as to why the word “favor” was used.
Nevertheless, the Word of God supplies us with a definition of χάρις, so that there can be no confusion as to the Lord’s meaning.  Ephesians 2:7-9 gives us the meaning of ”grace”:
“That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
The first fact in defining “grace,” is that it is an attribute of God!  He is gracious!  Like “mercy,” “grace” is evidence of God’s love for us.  The two explain just how much God “loved the world” and what that means in John 3:16.
The second truth about God’s “grace” toward mankind, is that it cannot be earned.  It has to be a gift, or it is no longer “grace.”  The two are contrasted as opposites in Romans 11:16, which says, “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.  But if it be of works, then is it no more grace:  otherwise work is no more work.”
Finally, the text itself declares that salvation is a “gift!”  And just like you and I purchase what we give as gifts to others, salvation is a “gift” purchased by God, to give it to us:  the price?  The life of His only begotten Son (Rom. 5:15)!

At Christmas time, we honor God’s gift to mankind:  our Lord, His Son!
