• this song was actually written by Fanny (Frances) Crosby, (for school children).

  Though blind from the age of 6 wks. such was her faith as she grew, she wrote nearly 8000 hymns during her 95 yrs.

  Obviously a woman of great faith, knowing

  that we all need Jesus.

  She (Fanny) asked the Lord that her songs be instrumental in saving 1 million souls.

  I pray she has surpassed that mark.

  The language of God is just so powerful, it's mind-blowing when people reach the sweet level of humility necessary.

  Ruth Graham was my sunday school teacher at Montreat Anderson College in 75. I had the priviledge of doing the worship music each Sunday, before her teaching. She later asked me to do some mission work for her. A part of who i am is because of the Jesus i saw in her. I will never never forget that time in my life.... i miss her
