Am călcat, o Doamne, multe porunci sfinte,
În gând, în faptă și cu a mele cuvinte.
Dar nicidecum nu doresc să fiu acuzat,
Că sunt viclean și ascund, cine sunt cu adevărat.

Înainte ca pe Domnul Isus să-L fi cunoscut,
În fățărnicie și-n minciună eu m-am complăcut.
Dar de când în viața mea lumina a intrat,
Vreau transparență, vreau pocăință și să trăiesc curat.

Aș vrea să spun că de când sunt creștin, sunt fără păcat
Dar aceasta m-ar face un fariseu și-n viclean cu adevărat.
Aș vrea să spun că lupta împotriva oricărui ispite am câștigat.
Dar aceasta nu ar face decât să mărească al meu păcat.

Îmi doresc să fiu sincer, să fiu real, să fiu transparent și deschis,
Ce e în inima mea să se reverse în trăire, în vorbire și în scris.
Când cad, pocăința mea să-L înalțe pe Dumnezeu.
Când biruiesc, să înalț tot pe Domnul și Harul Său.

Sunt născut din nou, am Duhul Sfânt în mine, El mă călăuzește
În inima mea, Cuvântul Scripturii roada Duhului Sfânt rodește.
Și am dorința ce-i mai presus de viața și lumea asta-ntreagă
E dorința ca prin trăirea mea și alții pe Domnul să-L aleagă.

Ce ne păfugă copiii în lume mai tare ca vicleșugul?
De ce se duc copiii crescuți în biserică, în lume cu tăvălugul?
Oare nu-s ei repusați de fățărnicie și vicleșug ?
Critică, bârfă, nemulțumire, fățărnicie ei văd din belșug.

O Doamne adu vremea pocăinței peste fiecare din noi.
Să ne pocăim de bârfă, de ură, de mânie și să nu fim răi.
Nu ar trebui să fim noi lumină, sare, cei dintâi în fapte bune?
Cum de unii dintre noi, sunt mai răi chiar ca cei din lume?

Cutremurat la gândul că vocea Ta Isus într-o zi va răsuna:
“Niciodată nu Te-am cunoscut, pleacă din fața mea!”
Cu vocea tremurândă și inima zbătându-se în piept.
Chemare mea spre cei ce le spun frați și surori azi mi-o îndrept.

Cât se mai zice astăzi te rog să recunoști
Păcatul și vicleșugul tău să ți-l mărturisești.
Nu-i prea târziu să vi la Domnul să fi mântuit
Celui de lângă tine să-I pildă, pocăindu-te smerit.

Mai bine disprețuit dar în adevăr și în Hristos,
Mai bine liniștit cu pace-n suflet, pe scaunul de jos,
Mai bine fără prieteni și fără petreceri faimoase.
Dar plin de bunătate și pacea unei vieți armonioase.

Inima mea cântă când sunt obosit pe calea pământească
