A MOTHER ‘S LOVE
A Mother’s Love
What kind of love would it be
That would work so hard
To make sure you had
Everything you needed?
What kind of love would it be
That would give to you
Even if they themselves
Had nothing?
What kind of love would it be
That would stand by you
Even when most thought
You didn’t deserve it?
What kind of love would it be
That would have pride in you
With all of your good points and bad
And all of your in-between’s?
What kind of love would it be
That would listen to your troubles
Who may not have the answers
But be willing to help?
What kind of love would it be
That would forgive you
For a hurt that you caused
Whether intended or not?
What kind of love would it be
That would accept you
Even if they didn’t understand
Or agree with your choices?
What kind of love would it be
That would always believe in you,
Always have hope for you,
And always have dreams for you?
What kind of love would it be?
An unconditional love.
A mother’s love.
My mother’s love.
